GSM - grams per square meter

GSM stands for grams per square meter and it means that if you take 1 meter x 1 meter of a paper, it weighs X grams. This has become a form of measurement unit to try to explain how thick the paper is in books. Especially good for trying to show differences between different notebooks.

Use the filter and choose based on GSM. The absolute thinnest are brands from Japan and there the number is usually missing. A regular copy paper is often 80 GSM and the absolute thickest in our range is 160 GSM.

In our assortment, you will find this "unit of measurement" on more or less all notebooks. The exception is notebooks from Japan where this information is usually missing. However, it is more the rule than the exception that you will find the notebooks with the absolute thinnest paper from Japanese brands, i.e Stálogy and Midori.
