Simple Stories / Carpe Diem is a company that was started by married couple Amber and Kevin Crowell in their basement in 2002. At that time, the company was called MemoryWorks and focused on scrapbooking and photo albums. The name Carpe Diem was used for their planner product line. It was chosen to honor the philosophy of "seizing the day" and making it easy for everyone, no matter how little time they have, to document life's small and big moments.
