TomoeRiver - Japanese Paper

TomoeRiver is a Japanese paper that is extremely popular among fountain pen users. Since 2021, Sakae TP holds the rights to manufacture it, and they have refined the original paper slightly. It is a thin, crinkly paper with a really smooth surface, and it is only 52 GSM.

TomoeRiver paper is characterized by its excellent resistance to ink feathering. Feathering is when, instead of thin, sharp lines, the ink spreads out a bit when you write. It "feathers out" a little, hence the name. You don't get razor-sharp lines, and there are three factors that can influence this: the paper, the pen, or the ink. Tomoe River paper handles this exceptionally well and has thus become very popular in this context.
