TomoeRiver is a Japanese paper that is extremely popular among fountain pen users. Since 2021, Sakae TP has the rights to manufacture it and they have developed the original paper a bit. It is thin, rustling and with a really smooth surface and the paper is only 52 GSM .

TomoeRiver paper is characterized by the fact that they handle ink feathering extremely well. Feathering is that instead of thin sharp lines when you write, the ink spreads out slightly. Feathers out slightly and hence the name. It does not get razor-sharp lines and there are three factors that can affect. The paper, the pen or the ink. Tomoe River paper handles this really well and has thus become really popular in this context.
