TomoeRiver is a Japanese paper that is extremely popular among fountain pen users. Since 2021 Sakae TP has the rights to manufacture and they have developed the original paper a bit. It is thin, crisp and with a really smooth surface and the paper is only 52 GSM .

TomoeRiver paper is characterized by handling so-called ink feathering extremely well. Feathering means that instead of thin sharp lines when you write, the ink is spread out a little. Feathers out a little and hence the name. There will not be razor-sharp lines and there are three factors that can affect it. The paper, pen or ink. Tomoe River paper handles this really well and has thus become really popular in this context.
