Clear tape is a form of decorative tape from Japanese BGM. Unlike traditional washi tape (thin Japanese paper), these tapes are made of plastic with transparent areas that give an airy, almost glass-like feel. The motifs are often detailed and sometimes include metallic elements that beautifully catch the light. Clear tape must be cut with scissors or a utility knife.
