What are the actual differences in materials?

• Washi is thin Japanese paper and often removable (depending on how porous the substrate is). The surface is usually matte.
• Clear stickers or PET are plastic stickers. The surface can be matte or glossy. Often thin material.
• Stickers made from paper can vary in thickness, from closer to washi-thin to sturdy cardstock. The surface can vary from glossy to matte.
• Rub-ons may not be classified as stickers in the first place. But since most of us use them as a function a la stickers, they end up here. You simply rub it onto the paper and the surface can't get any thinner than this.

What are the actual differences between models?

• Sticker sheets are stickers that are stuck to a sheet. Usually varied motifs with one of each.
• Sticker books are books or booklets that are packed with stickers. These can vary wildly, whether they are repeated with patterns or different ones throughout.
• Flake stickers are small stickers that have a motif cut out around them and you peel off a protective paper on the back. They usually come in small bags where there are usually 5 motifs with 3 of each. Can be made of any material.
• Pre cut tape is stickers that have been cut out around the stickers but are on a roll. The motif is usually repeated a few times.
• Washi pads are booklets with sheets where you cut out the motif yourself. The material is thin washi paper.

The reason we clarify how motifs repeat is that many people want to have several of their favorite stickers. It's frustrating to use if you only have one.

Additional tips!
At the filter you can also get tools and storage. Good things to have in this context can be to have a cutting mat and model knife or a handy pair of scissors. Especially with rub-ons and washi pads. Are they small, pesky stickers? A pair of tweezers can help.
