How do I get an even color on the stamp? Stamps are often used with stamp pads . What many people do is place the stamp pad on the table and press the stamp against it (or vice versa). The problem is that it results in an uneven weight, and often with both too much and too little color - at the same time - on the stamp. A better method is what we call the "clapping hands" method. Hold the stamp pad in one hand and the stamp in the other. Clap them together (like clapping your hands). This will distribute the paint more evenly without the 100 kilo gravity squeezing the paint deep into the crevices.
